New Delhi: Former external affairs minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj, who passed away after she suffered a cardiac arrest on Tuesday night will be cremated at the Lodhi Road crematorium with full state honours on Wednesday.
Mortal remains of the late former Delhi chief minister have been kept at her residence. They will be moved to BJP headquarters at 12 pm and the cremation will take place at 3 pm. PM Narendra Modi also paid last respects at Sushma Swaraj’s residence and met her family members.
The 67-year-old veteran BJP leader complained of restlessness at 9 pm on Tuesday and was rushed to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at 9.30 pm. A team of doctors tried to revive her for over 80-90 minutes, however, she was declared dead at 10.50 pm.
