AAP appoints Sanjay Singh election in-charge of party for Delhi Assembly elections


Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Sanjay Singh has been appointed election in-charge of the party for the forthcoming Delhi Assembly elections.

The Political Affairs Committee of the party, in its meeting chaired by the national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday, decided to appoint Sanjay Singh as the election in-charge.

The PAC has also decided that party’s national secretary Pankaj Gupta will be the campaign director for the Delhi Assembly elections.

The decision is part of the AAP’s election strategy. In anticipation of the party’s preparations for the forthcoming Assembly polls, the party is of the view that the dates for Delhi Assembly elections are likely to be announced along with Jharkhand soon.

Party volunteers plan to take the work of the Delhi government in Health, Education, Electricity and Water sectors to every household of the city.

The Delhi government’s decision to provide 200 units of electricity free every month, installation of CCTVs across Delhi, 20 K litres of water free every month per household, having metered connections, the opening of local clinics across Delhi are some of the key decisions to be highlighted.

The AAP is confident of repeating its 2015 performance in the Delhi elections.
