Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War box office collection: Day 3

When Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan signed Siddharth Anand’s War, little did they know that the action entertainer would turn out to be the biggest opener of their careers so far. The film, which hit the screens on October 2, is creating magic at the box office. After crossing the Rs 75-crore mark within two days of its release, War is now eyeing the Rs 100-crore club.

After a fabulous opening, War is now galloping towards the Rs 100-crore mark. The film, which made Rs 77.7 crore in its first two days, is unstoppable at the ticket windows. According to early estimates, War has made Rs 20 crore (approx) on Friday, thus taking the three-day collection to Rs 97.7 crore (approx).

War, directed by Siddharth Anand, has already broken many records. It has not only become Tiger and Hrithik’s biggest opener till date, but has also beaten the opening day record of big films like Bharat and Avengers Endgame.

Such has been the response to the film that YRF held a success bash for War on Friday to celebrate its record-breaking opening.

It is for the first time that Hrithik and Tiger shared stage during War promotions. Earlier, the makers had decided to not make them promote the film together as they are playing on-screen rivals in War. But with the film’s success, Tiger and Hrithik came together. In fact, a video of them hugging it out at War success bash has gone viral.

Overwhelmed with the film’s success, Hrithik Roshan said in a statement, “It is an incredible response to our hard work and I’m truly grateful to the audience for loving our film. When we decided to make War, we were clear that we were attempting to do something that has never been done in Indian cinema and we went all out to make it happen. So, it’s hugely validating to see the fantastic response of the people enjoying our action entertainer in the theatres.”

“I feel blessed to have the opportunity to work side by side with Hrithik who has been my hero and idol. Just this opportunity is a victory in itself for me,” added Tiger Shroff.
