Focus on women instead of cows: Miss Kohima runner up’s message for PM Modi

A beauty pageant contestant from the Northeast has left people pondering with her message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Khrielievinuo Suohu, first runner-up at the Miss Kohima 2019 beauty pageant, took social media by a storm following her imperative message to PM Modi that he should focus more on women than cows.

18-year-old Khrielievinuo Suohu was responding to a question asked by the jury of the beauty pageant held at the RCEMPA Jotsoma in Nagaland’s Kohima around ten days ago.

In the final round of the pageant, one jury member asked, “If the PM of our country, Modi ji, invited you to chat with him, what would you say?”

To which Suohu replied, “If I were invited to have a chat with the Prime Minister of India, I would tell him to focus more on women instead of cows.”

On hearing her witty answer, the audience broke out in laughter.

A clip from the pageant with Suohu’s answer has gone viral.

Suohu, a student of Kros College in Kohima, was the first runner-up at the local beauty contest held on October 5.

The beauty contest was organised by the Agathos Society under the theme ‘Educate a girl, empower a society’.

PM Modi and his government have been focused on the development in the Northeast. However, the BJP has landed in several controversies ranging from the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and Citizenship Amendment Bill protests to beef ban in the region.
