Fire and Fury Corps commanding officer Lt Gen Harinder Singh visits LAC after taking charge of Ladakh


After taking charge of 16 corp of the army in Ladakh, Lt Gen Harinder Singh, General Officer Commanding ‘Fire & Fury Corps’ visited forward locations in Eastern Ladakh on LAC (Line Of Actual Control) on Friday and reviewed the operational preparedness in the area of responsibility.

He was accompanied by General Officer Commanding, ‘Trishul Division’, who also briefed him about the various infrastructure development activities being carried out in the region.

Interacting with troops deployed in the sector during his visit to the forward locations, Lt Gen Harinder Singh appreciated the tenacity and dedication displayed by all the ranks, despite the extreme challenges of terrain and weather.

Lt Gen Harinder Singh complimented them for their high morale and urged them to continue to discharge their duties with the same zeal, in the best traditions of the Indian Army.

The ‘Fire and Fury of Corps’ was handed over to Lieutenant General Harinder Singh by Lieutenant General YK Joshi in Srinagar on October 10.

Prior to assuming command of ‘Fire & Fury Corps’, he was appointed as DGMO at the integrated HQ of MoD (Army).
