Motorola recently made an entry in the Smart TV market in India, and this is the base variant. The sound output is rated at 20 Watts RMS and is likely to be better, courtesy of an integrated soundbar. Motorola also bundles a wireless gamepad that looks like an Xbox controller.

This TV comes with an IPS panel and a couple of HDMI ports. This is not an Android TV and runs Web OS that has apps for most of the major online streaming services including Netflix, Prime Video, and Hotstar also. This TV doesn’t have Chromecast but supports screen mirroring.

  • Mi TV 4A 40 – Rs 17,999

From Xiaomi, a 40-inch certified Android TV. It comes with a very attractive price tag. You get a Full HD panel with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. This TV from Xiaomi supports all major streaming services including Netflix, Hotstar, Prime Video, etc., unlike the older TVs. This TV also has a Chromecast built-in. It has 3x HDMI and 2x USB ports and 20 Watts RMS sound output.

Ultra Android series is 43-inch certified Android TV from VU’s. Though the series is called Ultra Android, the VU 43GA doesn’t have an Ultra HD panel. We get a Full HD panel, but the picture quality is quite impressive. Moreover, it has fast boot times and quick resume from standby feature, support for all major streaming apps like Netflix, Hotstar, Prime Video, etc. It also has Chromecast support, along with a couple of HDMI and USB ports each, and 24 Watts RMS sound output that’s pretty good.

From Xiaomi, Mi TV 4X 50 support Netflix and Prime Video. It would be best if you put up with an overly minimalistic remote without input selection, settings or mute buttons. It has a bright, 50-inch 4K panel with vibrant colours and good contrast. It is powered by an Amlogic quad-core processor with 2 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage and offers 3x HDMI ports, 2x USB ports, among others. There is a Chromecast built-in, we can also cast Netflix and Prime Video. Sound output is also noticeably improved.
