As the news of the killing of four accused in Hyderabad vet’s rape and murder case broke in the early hours of Friday, locals gathered in large numbers at the site. The four accused men were killed in crossfire in Shadnagar when they snatched weapons from police, fired on cops and tried to escape.
In the visuals, locals were seen showering flower petals on police officials present at the site. A large crowd of people standing above the underpass could be seen cheering the cops for ‘bringing justice’ to the 26-year-old woman, who was brutally gangraped, killed and burnt by the four lorry workers.
People could be heard chanting slogans such as ‘jai police’ and ‘Hyderabad Police zindabad’, lauding the action taken by the officials.
The four accused were taken to the site of the offence for reconstruction of the scene of the crime as part of the investigation around 6.30 am on Friday. They were arrested on November 29 and remanded to judicial custody for 7 days.
As the police investigation was underway at the site, the bodies of the deceased could be seen under the bridge, with a heavy presence of police.
Also seen in Hyderabad after the incident, were girl students who cheering loudly for the cops from their bus.
Neigbours of the veterinarian were seen celebrating and offering sweets to cops.
Later, a massive crowd of people were lifting a few of cops on their shoulders and applauding them.
Meanwhile, the victim’s family expressed joy at the news saying they welcomed the police action.
