US tech firm to help IIT-incubated startup develop low-cost ventilators

US-based engineering simulation software firm Ansys has partnered with an IIT-Kanpur led consortium to help develop low-cost ventilators to fight COVID-19 outbreak in India. The invasive ventilators, being built by Nocca Robotics which was founded by IIT-K graduates, will cost around ₹50,000. Presently being tested on artificial lungs, they will be tested on patients in a few days, IIT-K said.
