Maharashtra first state to cross 2,000 coronavirus cases, patients double in 6 days

Maharashtra has become the first state in India to report over 2,000 coronavirus cases after 82 new cases were confirmed today. Maharashtra, which now has a total of 2,064 cases, had breached the 1,000-mark on April 7. Out of the 82 new cases, 59 have been reported in Mumbai. Notably, Maharashtra has extended the lockdown till April 30.
